Vougeot Cru

A village of the Côte de Nuits whose territory is almost entirely occupied by the Clos de Vougeot grand cru. Wine quality varies markedly with position on the slope, from the well-drained top to the clayey lower section. The cradle of a founding Cistercian viticulture, Vougeot remains a symbolic landmark of Burgundian wine lists.
