Villa d'Este (Cernobbio)

Villa d'Este is a Lake Como palace hotel at Cernobbio, set in a summer residence built in 1568 for Cardinal Tolomeo Gallio to designs by architect Pellegrino Pellegrini. Originally named Garovo, the property was converted into a luxury hotel in 1873, notably driven by Giulio Belinzaghi, then mayor of Milan. It remains a renowned retreat and a setting for high-profile international gatherings.
