Treatment room
A treatment room is the private space where spa services are performed, massages, facials, body treatments, scrubs, and wraps. At premium hotels, expect a room of 18-25 m² (or larger for couples' suites) with a heated treatment table, dim lighting, controlled temperature, soft music, and often a private shower or hammam. Some couples' rooms include twin tables side by side or two-person massage suites with a soaking tub. What to know: you'll be asked to undress (down to underwear or fully, your choice) and lie under a heated sheet. The therapist drapes you appropriately throughout, only the area being worked on is exposed. If anything is uncomfortable (pressure, music volume, room temperature), speak up. Tipping practices vary by country, ask reception.
