Taj Hotels (IHCL)


Taj is the palace brand of The Indian Hotels Company Limited, a Tata group company incorporated in 1902 and headquartered in Mumbai. Its founding property, the Taj Mahal Palace, was opened by Jamsetji Tata on 16 December 1903 overlooking the Arabian Sea. Reputedly India's first electrified grand hotel, it embodies Indian hospitality. IHCL today operates hundreds of hotels across several continents under the Taj and its sister brands.
