Tadelakt plaster

A Moroccan lime plaster smoothed and polished with an agate stone, then treated with black soap to acquire a satiny, water-resistant surface. Tadelakt traditionally clads the hammams, basins and walls of Marrakech riads, where its impermeability and tactile softness are prized. This seamless artisanal craft signs the bathrooms and spas of Moroccan palace hotels, offering a continuous, jointless finish that resists humidity in wet rooms.
