Sound healing
Sound healing uses specific sound frequencies, from Tibetan singing bowls, gongs, crystal bowls, tuning forks, didgeridoos, drums, and human voice, to induce deep relaxation and physiological shifts. The most common format is a "sound bath": you lie down (covered with a blanket, on a yoga mat or bed) while the practitioner plays instruments around you. Sessions last 45-90 minutes. Modern research links sound healing to reduced cortisol, lower heart rate, and brainwave shifts toward meditative states. What to expect at luxury wellness retreats: group sessions (15-30 people) or private one-on-one experiences. Wear comfortable clothes, avoid heavy meals beforehand, and bring an open mind. Some experience emotional release; others simply feel deeply rested. Cost: 50-150 EUR per session at premium properties. Powerful complement to meditation or massage.
