Soneva

Soneva is a luxury resort group founded in the Maldives in 1995 by Sonu and Eva Malmström Shivdasani, its name blending their two first names. Its first property, Soneva Fushi, is regarded as the Maldives' first luxury hotel and a pioneer of the barefoot luxury concept. The group pairs high-end comfort with strong ecological commitment. KSL Capital Partners took a majority interest in Soneva in 2025.
