Silver steward

Member of staff responsible for the upkeep, cleaning and conservation of the silverware, cutlery and showpieces of a luxury establishment. He polishes the silver, checks the condition of pieces, manages stocks of precious cutlery and prepares the equipment for service and banquets. Guardian of the table's shine and of an often antique heritage, he works behind the scenes of dining-room service.
