Sazerac
The Sazerac refers to a New Orleans cocktail built on rye whiskey, sugar, Peychaud's bitters and a glass rinsed with absinthe, garnished with a lemon twist. Created in the mid nineteenth century, it originally relied on cognac from the Sazerac de Forge et Fils house before shifting to rye. It appears among The Unforgettables in the International Bartenders Association manual.
