Royal suite / Presidential suite

Royal suites and Presidential suites are the absolute top of the hotel pyramid, usually one per property, designed for heads of state, royalty, A-list celebrities and the truly ultra-wealthy. They typically run from 200 to 800 square meters with their own private elevators, dedicated butler and chef teams, separate security entrances, and sometimes a private gym, cinema and spa room. Rates start around $10,000 a night and can reach $60,000 (the Royal Penthouse Suite at Hôtel President Wilson in Geneva). Famous examples: the Coco Chanel Suite at Ritz Paris, the Royal Mansour three-bedroom riad in Marrakech, the Imperial Suite at The Lanesborough London, the Ty Warner Penthouse at Four Seasons New York. Marketing trophies as much as actual rooms.
