Rich syrup 2:1
Rich syrup 2:1 is a syrup made with two parts sugar to one part water, more concentrated than standard simple syrup. This higher density delivers more intense sweetness in a smaller volume, holding a cocktail's balance without watering it down. The greater sugar proportion also extends refrigerated shelf life, often up to a month, a valued trait in high-volume bars.
