Régis Cadier


Jean-François Régis Cadier (1829-1890), a French chef and hotelier born in Saint-Antoine-l'Abbaye, emigrated to Sweden in 1852. Trained at the Trois Frères Provençaux in Paris, he first took over the Hotel Rydberg in Stockholm. Chosen to design a grand hotel in the Swedish capital, he opened the Grand Hôtel Stockholm on 14 June 1874, the great work of his life which he led until his death.
