Oakmoss

A lichen growing on oak trees, whose extract yields an earthy, woody, slightly inky scent, a historic pillar of the chypre and fougère accords. Oakmoss brings depth and longevity to the base. Now regulated for its allergens and often reformulated, it nonetheless remains an olfactory signature of classic perfumery prized in elegant compositions.
