Nebbiolo

Nebbiolo is a red grape variety from Italy's Piedmont region, behind the celebrated wines of Barolo and Barbaresco. Its late ripening and affinity for autumn fog may explain its name, drawn from the Italian word nebbia. The grape yields pale yet powerful wines defined by firm tannins, high acidity and aromas of rose, tar and cherry, structured to age gracefully in the cellar for several decades.
