Michelin Key

Michelin Key is the Michelin Guide's hotel rating system launched in April 2024, modeled on its famous star ratings for restaurants: One Key (a very special stay), Two Keys (an exceptional stay), Three Keys (an extraordinary stay, the pinnacle). At launch, 2,457 hotels received Keys across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. Published criteria include architecture, service quality, value, personality, and sense of place. For travelers, Michelin Key is positioning itself as a third major hotel benchmark alongside Forbes Travel Guide and AAA Five Diamond, leveraging the Red Guide's authority. Three Keys went to properties like Le Bristol, Cheval Blanc Paris, and Aman Venice. Awareness is still building among travelers.
