Labdanum (cistus)

An aromatic resin extracted from cistus, a Mediterranean shrub, with a warm, balsamic, ambery, slightly leathery scent. Labdanum is a flagship material of the amber and chypre accords, where it brings depth and warmth to the base. A pillar of the amber note, it dresses the enveloping signature scents sought for the evening spaces of luxury hotels.
