Khalaf Al Habtoor

Khalaf Ahmad Al Habtoor (born 1949 in Dubai) started a construction company in 1970 that grew into the Al Habtoor Group, an Emirati conglomerate. Its hospitality arm ranks among the largest palace owners in the Middle East, operating under Habtoor Grand, St. Regis and Westin flags. His son Mohammed now leads the group, illustrating a rising Gulf hotel dynasty.
