Headspace technique

An analytical method capturing the scent profile of a living subject, a blooming flower or a fruit, in its natural environment without destroying it. The volatile compounds emitted are trapped then identified to be reconstructed by the perfumer. Headspace opens novel olfactory palettes and allows the recreation of place scents, an asset for shaping original, evocative hotel signatures.
