Gstaad Palace

The Gstaad Palace is a Swiss alpine palace hotel opened on 8 December 1913, in time for the winter season. Designed by Dutch architect Adrien van Dorsser at the initiative of local schoolteacher Robert Steffen, the hotel offered one hundred and fifty rooms from the outset, fifty with private bathrooms. Run by the Scherz family since 1938, it has been led since 2001 by Andrea Scherz, the third generation.
