Côte de Nuits

The northern section of the Côte d'Or, running from Dijon to Corgoloin and devoted almost entirely to Pinot Noir. It holds twenty-four of Burgundy's thirty-three grands crus, including Chambertin, Musigny and Romanée-Conti. Its clay-limestone soils and easterly exposure give the reds power and ageing capacity, making it a cornerstone of luxury hotel wine lists.
