Condrieu

Condrieu is an appellation in the northern Rhône Valley, dedicated exclusively to dry white wines made entirely from viognier. The vineyard rises over steep terraced granite slopes, where the sandy soil from decomposed rock carries the grape. It gives opulent, perfumed whites with notes of apricot, peach and white flowers, best enjoyed in their aromatic youth rather than kept for long cellar ageing.
