Concrete

A waxy, solid substance obtained by solvent extraction of plant material, flowers, leaves or bark. The concrete concentrates the odorous compounds along with waxes and pigments. When subsequently treated with alcohol, it yields the absolute, purer and more fluid. An intermediate step in extraction, it conditions the quality of the noble floral materials used in fine perfumery.
