Charmes-Chambertin

A grand cru of Gevrey-Chambertin set lower on the slope, on deeper soils. Pinot Noir here gives generous, fleshy wines that are more approachable in youth than the upper-slope crus. It may include the neighbouring Mazoyères climat, making it one of the appellation's largest and a classic of wine lists.
