Burgundian Combe
A dry valley cutting into the slopes of the Côte d'Or from west to east, channelling cold air down from the wooded heights. Combes create cooler microclimates on the neighbouring climats, subtly modulating ripeness and wine style. The Combe Grisard near Gevrey thus influences Latricières-Chambertin, making it a terroir marker appreciated by connoisseurs.
