Blown sugar
Blown sugar refers to a sugar-art technique in which a ball of still-warm cooked sugar is inflated with an air pump, much like glassblowing. By directing the airflow and shaping the wall, the sugar artist creates hollow volumes such as fruit, animals or vases. The wall must stay thin and even to preserve translucency. It ranks among the most demanding techniques in artistic sugar work, requiring both precise temperature control and steady manual dexterity.
