Albatross

A score of three strokes under par on a single golf hole, for instance holing the second shot on a par five. Extraordinarily rare, an albatross is estimated to occur roughly once in several million shots. Known as a double eagle in the United States, it earns a place in a course's records. Renowned golf resorts often preserve the memory of such feats achieved on their celebrated signature holes for posterity.
