AAA Five Diamond

AAA Five Diamond is the top rating from the American Automobile Association, the equivalent of Forbes Five-Star in the North American market (US, Canada, Mexico, and Caribbean only). About 120 hotels and 80 restaurants hold the rating each year out of 27,000 audited. Unlike Forbes, AAA inspectors identify themselves to the property and provide detailed feedback, with a chance to fix issues before the rating drops. Famous Five Diamond hotels: The Broadmoor (Colorado), The Greenbrier (West Virginia), The Inn at Little Washington (Virginia). The rating is updated annually based on a December inspection cycle, with new ratings announced each January. Many top hotels hold both AAA Five Diamond and Forbes Five-Star simultaneously.
